Introducing Janis ECO B&C Straw Pellets – Our New Sustainable Product!

We are excited to announce a new addition to our product line at Janis ECO B&C: biological straw pellets, designed especially for use as bedding in horse stables.

At Janis ECO B&C, we pride ourselves on operating a zero-waste production process. Our circular approach begins with harvesting cereals. The grains are returned for food production—like bread—while the remaining straw is used for roofing. Now, we've taken it a step further: the leftover straw waste is transformed into high-quality straw pellets.

Our production line is 90% complete and fully automated, ensuring efficiency and consistency. The entire process is 100% ecological, with rigorous quality control at every stage. We even use food-grade hydraulic oil in our systems to maintain the highest safety and environmental standards.

We offer two packaging options:

• Eco-friendly packaging: 15 kg paper bags (reusable) with wooden frames

• Standard packaging: 15 kg plastic bags

  
  

As horse owners ourselves, we test our straw pellets in our own stables. This gives us firsthand experience and solid arguments when comparing our product to traditional bedding straw or wood chips.

Our straw pellets are already being used by stables in Latvia, and we’re expanding to international markets. Last week, we delivered our first shipment to Malmö Riding Club, where they had the opportunity to test the product—and the feedback was very positive.

We are now ready to scale up. With a production capacity of up to 500 tons per year, it’s time to open our doors to a wider market.
