In September we replaced a one side of a large and old Jöns Jonsgården farm building in Skåne- Fleninge. We put rye straw on the top. The stumps are made out of oak tree which are holding straw and keeping it safely in a wind. The oak stumps are connected with oak wooden pegs.
After straw material production, in October we continued straw roof project in Bollaltebygget.
We replaced 80 m2 of the roof there. The straw on the roof was tied with self-tarred hemp string.

Roof construction was repaired strictly following traditional construction methods. And of course – local heather on the top.
